Paediatric Site Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Site Practitioner to join our team at The Portland Hospital for Women & Children in London. As a Paediatric Site Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in paediatric care, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assess and manage acutely unwell and deteriorating paediatric patients, escalating as appropriate to HDU/PICU.
  • Co-ordinate resources and work closely with on-site Duty Managers to ensure effective patient care.
  • Participate in the PICU step-down process and support with bed allocation as a key member of the Clinical Emergency Team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • NMC RN Child registration.
  • HDU/Critical Care experience.
  • Paediatric Physical Assessment Skills.
  • Current APLS/EPALS provider.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Evidence of CPD, e.g. Professional Portfolio.
