Planning Manager Opportunity

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a leading global manufacturer in North Lincolnshire, seeking a skilled Planning Manager to drive the planning function forward.

This newly created role will suit an individual with a strong Lean Manufacturing background, who can bring strategic ideas to optimize production planning and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer orders, providing short and long-term forecasts for on-time delivery.
  • Monitor and manage the flow of jobs through various production stages, adjusting as necessary to optimize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
  • Lead departmental continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the planning function.
  • Ensure production plans adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements, working closely with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of production plans and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Production Planning or Multi-level planning experience preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical IT skills with the ability to create plans, collect and analyze figures for schedules and reports.
  • Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is highly desirable.
  • People management experience and previous MRP experience (SAP desirable).
