Civil Engineering Roadway Specialist

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, your primary responsibility will be to deliver roadway infrastructure design solutions to clients in the designated areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive roadway infrastructure design services, including functional, preliminary, and detailed designs for various projects such as rural highways, urban roadways, intersection layouts, and interchange configurations.
  • Develop and manage documentation for ongoing or upcoming projects, which includes reports, proposals, specifications, and meeting summaries.
  • Execute project management tasks, ensuring team coordination, adherence to schedules and budgets, and preparation of invoices.
  • Engage in steering committees and contribute to Class Environmental Assessments.
  • Review and verify drawings and quantities for accuracy.
  • Conduct construction oversight and administration.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario, or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant roadway design experience.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and writing abilities.
  • Proven project management expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in geometric design for roadway systems, both urban and rural.
  • Familiarity with Ontario/Canadian traffic engineering standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, LDD, and AutoTurn is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment is advantageous.
  • Valid Driver's license is required.
