About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team to provide specialist knowledge and drainage/highways designs, as well as contributing to other projects. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering drainage & highway designs on all projects
  2. Identifying project risks and opportunities
  3. Contributing to civil engineering tendering processes by reviewing client ITTs
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  1. A degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or Chartered status, or be working towards it
  2. Experience with CAD packages, as well as Flow or Micro Drainage
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience working on projects where drainage/highways was a key/integral component of the design
  4. Flood risk assessment awareness
  5. Knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes, with design capability when supervised by senior staff
  6. Knowledge of design and approvals of S104, S106, and S185 drainage schemes
  7. Ability to complete site visits and surveys
  8. Infrastructure project exposure, ideally in rail or power stations
