Position Overview

Are you an experienced Procurement Lead or Senior Buyer eager to become part of a dedicated team within a prominent energy solutions firm?

This multifaceted role involves guiding a team of seven professionals (including two direct reports) and managing supplier demand forecasting along with the provision of all essential materials and services, including subcontracted tasks, to ensure a steady supply of materials for operations.

This position is primarily onsite.

While experience in the aerospace manufacturing sector is preferred, we encourage enthusiastic and collaborative procurement specialists from other regulated sectors to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Development & Leadership: Cultivate and maintain a skilled team of Procurement Buyer-Planners, offering guidance and promoting growth across direct, indirect, and service procurement areas.
  • Supplier Coordination: Guarantee timely supplier deliveries, manage inventory levels throughout the supply chain, and support quality and cost objectives.
  • Capacity Management: Create and oversee supplier capacity planning frameworks, including constraint management, in partnership with the SIOP team.
  • Project Oversight: Initiate and supervise cost-reduction and delivery initiatives, concentrating on sourcing, cost efficiency, and business model adaptations to achieve and surpass MPV targets aligned with PP commitments.
  • Change Oversight: Manage the implementation of ECN and MPS changes affecting direct materials in the supply chain, collaborating closely with Commodity Managers, Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, and Supplier Development teams.
  • Commodity Strategy Implementation: Execute projects related to the commodity strategy to support divisional objectives in cost, quality, delivery, supplier reduction, and sourcing.
  • Supplier Enhancement: Work with Supplier Quality and Supplier Delivery teams to improve the existing supplier base and develop new suppliers as necessary.
  • ERP Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and sustainability of ERP data.
  • Production Coordination: Collaborate with Commodity Management and Material Planning to establish and implement pull production/stocking arrangements (Kanban/DLF) with suppliers.
  • ERP Management: Maintain ERP supplier parameters (e.g., MFGPro) including Supplier Time Fences, MOQ, Min/Max levels, safety time, and safety stock management in alignment with the SIOP team, and establish and maintain a Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Compliance & Communication: Oversee supplier compliance and communication.
  • Performance Evaluation: Ensure appropriate performance metrics (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) for the supplier base and provide feedback on outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) and order generation process logic.
  • CIPS/APICS CPIM certification (or in progress).
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain management operational concepts, including production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
  • Preferred experience in procurement management within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal capabilities.
