This role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days a week in the Honiton office, as well as flexibility in working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, if the weekly 40 hours are completed the working pattern can be at your discretion.
Buyer Responsibilities include:
Source and purchase materials for projects, ensuring the best value and compliance with industry standards and project schedules
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms to meet budget and quality requirements
Oversee stock levels and manage inventory to prevent shortages or overstock, ensuring procurement activities remain within budget
Maintain accurate procurement records, work towards standardisation across projects, and identify opportunities for improving procurement efficiency
Buyer Requirements include:
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management; a Bachelor's degree or professional certification in a related field is preferred
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills, along with proficiency in procurement software
Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work independently
Familiarity with construction or engineering industries, including relevant standards and regulations, is desirable
