Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Northwood, UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development of technical solutions and troubleshooting procedures for maritime operations.

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for administering hardware and software systems for assigned operations, maintaining and updating technical and service documentation, and reporting configuration control data to the Core Section Head in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with VMware Virtualization technology, familiarity with SAN technology, and expertise in Windows workstation imaging techniques.

Additionally, the candidate should have proficiency in Microsoft Server Technologies, including Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, experience with Application Server technologies, and knowledge of ITIL IT service management model.

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will work closely with technicians, engineers, and other personnel within the broader NCI Agency to ensure smooth system operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to support maritime operations.
  • Administer hardware and software systems for assigned operations.
  • Maintain and update technical and service documentation.
  • Report configuration control data to the Core Section Head.
  • Provide remote support for Flagship handovers.
  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and other personnel to ensure smooth system operations.
Requirements
  • Strong experience with VMware Virtualization technology.
  • Familiarity with SAN technology.
  • Expertise in Windows workstation imaging techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server Technologies, including Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Experience with Application Server technologies.
