As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs and sometimes complex physical health needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective care to patients, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care, engaging patients in their own care and promoting their dignity and respect.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal care, nutrition, and hydration, in accordance with their individualized care plans.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, using verbal and non-verbal skills to overcome communication barriers.
- Participate in staff support groups and clinical supervision, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- GCSE (or equivalent) level of education with passes in English, maths, and science, or functional skills level 2.
- Experience in a care setting, developing competencies in basic clinical care.
- Completion of the Fundamental Care Certificate.
- ICT competent.
- PMVA training or willingness and ability to complete prior to start date.
- NVQ Level 3.
