Medical Records Scanning Operator/Team Leader

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Scanning Operator/Team Leader to join our dynamic team at a leading medical records warehouse in Bedford. This is a temporary, full-time position with an immediate start date, working 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate batch header sheets or intelligent bar codes are used to prepare event notes for scanning, adhering to guidelines.
  • Operate high-resolution scanners to meet quality standards, guaranteeing all scanned images are of good quality.
  • Monitor the quality of scanned images and make necessary amendments when required.
  • Collect event notes according to priority and scan receipt schedules.
  • Regularly clean and maintain scanning devices, promptly reporting any issues to the Team Leader.
  • Complete quality assurance processes according to established standards.
  • Assist with general inquiries and provide support to new staff members.
  • Participate in mandatory training to uphold service standards.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Sensitivity and experience in handling medical records.
  • Solid understanding of case note structure and current documentation filing policies.
  • IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to undergo training to operate high-resolution scanners and handheld scanners effectively.
