Job Overview

Position: Solicitor (Commercial Litigation - Construction/Insurance)

We invite you to join our team as a newly qualified Solicitor, where you will become the primary client liaison for a diverse array of projects within the construction and insurance sectors. This role encompasses managing a broad spectrum of responsibilities, identifying business development prospects, and excelling in marketing initiatives and client engagements. This vibrant position provides an ideal mix of client interaction, professional advancement, and collaborative teamwork, all while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a diverse workload with assurance, serving as the primary contact for clients while demonstrating your expertise and achieving outstanding outcomes.
  • Ensure complete adherence to DAC Beachcroft's billing and credit control protocols, showcasing a high level of financial management regarding your files.
  • Proactively identify and leverage business development opportunities and marketing activities for team clients and your own contacts.
  • Strive to meet a minimum annual target of 1440 billable hours.
  • Engage in and initiate marketing and networking activities to sustain and expand relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Participate in and contribute to client seminars and external presentations, playing an active role in pitches and supporting business development efforts.
  • Enhance and maintain your technical knowledge by leading and attending training sessions, reviewing relevant publications, and exceeding Law Society CPD requirements.
  • Manage confidential information in accordance with the firm's data security protocols.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Newly qualified solicitor, preferably with experience in construction and insurance law.
  • Strong interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to handle daily issues confidently and professionally.
  • Capable of demonstrating a solid level of self-sufficiency, balancing confidence with an understanding of your own competence and authority.
  • Open to change, with a positive and flexible attitude towards new initiatives.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, willing to share knowledge and support fellow team members.
  • Committed to working diligently as part of a highly ambitious and driven team to achieve collective goals.
