About the Role

CapeClarke is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their team in a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for handling a variety of cases related to diminution, salvage, and vehicle repossession.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters, with a focus on diminution cases, salvage, and vehicle repossession.
  • Client Consultation: Provide expert legal advice to clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their legal position and options.
  • Drafting and Documentation: Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Negotiation and Settlement: Engage in negotiations with opposing parties to reach favorable settlements for clients, aiming to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.
  • Court Representation: Represent clients in court proceedings, presenting cases confidently and competently.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and ensure the most effective legal strategies are employed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in civil litigation.
  • Demonstrable experience in the road traffic accident sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong advocacy skills with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
