Job Summary:
Generations People is seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Yard Operative to join our team. As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for manual handling and heavy lifting, unloading and loading goods between the stock yard and factory, and following work plans accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual handling and heavy lifting of goods and equipment
- Unloading and loading goods between the stock yard and factory
- Following work plans and instructions accurately
- Cleaning and maintaining a safe and tidy warehouse environment
- Reporting any health and safety issues or concerns
- Performing other ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements:
- Valid FLT truck (Counterbalance) license
- Ability to physically lift and move heavy objects in line with health and safety guidelines
- Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
