We are seeking a compassionate and supportive individual to join our team as a Domestic Abuse Support Worker in Ellesmere Port. As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse
  • Assess and implement risk assessments to ensure the safety of clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide a comprehensive support service
  • Provide information and signposting to clients on local services and resources
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support plans
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions

Requirements:

  • Be over the age of 18 to apply
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Be a UK resident
  • Have a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (if applicable)
  • Prior experience in domestic abuse support or equivalent qualification is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and a basic knowledge of the sector
  • An extensive understanding of individuals and families who have, or are experiencing domestic abuse
  • Knowledge of assessing and implementing risk assessments
  • Computer literacy skills
  • A genuine passion for working in support
  • Female staff members only (genuine client occupational requirement)
  • Availability for both day shifts and sleep-in shifts
