Associate Director Building Surveyor Job Opportunity

Calibre Search is pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Associate Director Building Surveyor to join a thriving Building Surveying Practice in Birmingham.

This dynamic practice has undergone significant growth due to the success of their new office and is now seeking a strategic hire to support their continued expansion. As the second-in-command, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations, technical surveying lead for ongoing projects, and supporting the Practice's Directors.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Building Surveyor, preferably in a consultancy or client-side environment, with experience working through RIBA Stages. You will be responsible for managing and delivering projects on time and within budget, with a strong focus on commercial surveying experience, including pre-acquisition surveys, dilapidations, party wall disputes, and landlord & tenant services.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
  2. Providing technical surveying lead for ongoing projects
  3. Supporting the Practice's Directors in strategic decision-making
  4. Developing and maintaining client relationships
  5. Managing and mentoring junior team members
