Associate Director Building Surveyor Job Opportunity

Calibre Search is pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Associate Director Building Surveyor to join a thriving Building Surveying Practice in Birmingham.

This dynamic practice has undergone significant growth due to the success of their new office and is now seeking a strategic hire to bring in either an experienced Associate Building Surveyor or an ambitious Senior Building Surveyor looking for a challenging role with progression opportunities.

As the second-in-command, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the team, including two graduates, and will be the technical surveying lead for various ongoing projects. The Practice offers full support and achievable targets to help you progress towards Director level.

This role is heavily focused on the education sector, including schools, colleges, and universities. While sector knowledge is advantageous, the Practice is open to considering Building Surveyors from other sectors with the necessary technical skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level surveyor to become an integral part of a growing and modern Consultancy with a strong upward trajectory.

Key Requirements:
  1. Relevant degree qualification in Building Surveying or Construction Management
  2. MRICS qualification or close to achieving
  3. Proven track record as a Building Surveyor, ideally in a consultancy or client-side environment
  4. Knowledge and experience working through RIBA Stages
  5. Responsible for managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
  6. Experience in commercial surveying, including Pre-Acquisition surveys, Dilapidations, Party Wall Disputes, and Landlord & Tenant services
  7. Comfortable in client-facing roles and developing client relationships
