About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness and Exercise Referral Manager to join our team at Freedom Leisure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team and ensuring exceptional service delivery at all times.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of increasing activity levels, maximising sales and income generation, and providing support and guidance to customers in the gym and fitness classes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop our Exercise Referral Programme, working closely with local partners to enhance the health outcomes of our community.
  • Collaborate with local health professionals to deliver health referral-based exercise programs.
  • Oversee program delivery, monitor and evaluate effectiveness, and foster relationships to drive positive impact.
  • Provide fitness advice and knowledge to customers, helping them to achieve their health and fitness goals.
  • Manage a team of fitness professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • A relevant Level 3 Fitness Qualification.
  • Proven experience in working with patients with a range of health conditions.
  • Experience in creating, planning, and delivering exercise programs, both one-to-one and in groups.
  • Awareness of local health inequalities.
  • Strong people management skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and autonomously.
Desirable
  • Level 4 Qualification in Cancer Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, or other relevant qualifications.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection training.
  • First Aid certification.
  • At least 12 months experience as a Level 3 Exercise Referral Instructor.
