About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding Adviser to join our team at Activate Learning. As a Safeguarding Adviser, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our learners, providing expert advice and guidance to support them in times of need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with learners to assess their support needs and provide guidance on how to access internal and external agencies.
  • Advise teaching teams and faculty staff on how to best support learners under the safeguarding team's support.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with families of students under the safeguarding team's support.
  • Provide comprehensive records to track the progress of safeguarding work and ensure compliance with statutory and legislative procedures.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and regulations.
  • Ability to provide person-centred support and show compassion and empathy.
  • Experience in a similar role, either in social work, youth work, safeguarding or care setting.
  • Level 3 qualified and completed Advanced Safeguarding training in the last two years.
