Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Category Manager, Market Research to join our Publicis Re:Sources Global team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the full procurement cycle of Market Research spend products and services, focusing on regional or global opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake complex spend analysis, identify patterns and trends, and make recommendations for new projects or commercial and legal improvement opportunities.
- Conduct market research and consult with stakeholders to understand technical and commercial aspects of complex business needs.
- Work with various stakeholders to shape and articulate business needs and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies for approval by the CPO and/or Global Procurement Director.
- Prepare well-structured RFX documentation, including qualitative criteria and pricing schedules, and run fair, transparent, and efficient competitive bidding processes.
- Oversee or direct the evaluation process for complex or politically sensitive procurements, ensuring compliance with policy requirements and driving value for money outcomes.
- Draft contract terms from a standard template and negotiate contractual terms, ensuring the application of principles of contract law in procurement.
- Develop implementation plans, communications, and business plans, and advise on contract management strategies for complex requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships, provide strategic plans and updates, and identify opportunities for aggregation.
- Track savings and cost avoidance potential, deal with financial planning and forecasting, and challenge and offer suggestions to improve procurement activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in category management and executing complex RFP processes.
- Developed project management skills, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Advanced negotiations skills, business acumen, and sound financial, legal, and communication skills.
- Politically savvy, able to build and maintain effective working relationships, and a proven team player with excellent communication skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Completely literate in English language and one other.
