Job Title: Commercial Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Sales professional to join our team at Lawes Insurance Recruitment. As a Commercial Sales representative, you will be responsible for managing incoming sales and member/customer enquiry calls, producing and issuing quotation, new business and renewal documentation, and assisting customers to protect their material assets and liabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming sales and member/customer enquiry calls to provide excellent customer service and ensure timely resolution of queries.
  • Produce and issue quotation, new business and renewal documentation to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist customers to protect their material assets and liabilities by providing expert advice and guidance on insurance products.
  • Follow up and convert leads as well as making outbound calls to ensure sales targets are met.
  • Work productively and efficiently as a member of a sales team and contribute to team discussions regarding progression and positive change.
  • Achieve agreed sales & retention targets, both individually and as part of the overall team.
  • Maintain and achieve growth in income from existing customers.
  • Develop and maintain positive ongoing relationships with Insurers and Underwriters in a professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external compliance regulations are met.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all products and services to assist customers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 Grade A-C GCSEs.
  • Competent to sell SME general insurance.
  • Relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
  • Clear understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics.
  • Experience of e-trading platforms; Acturis would be advantageous but not required.
  • Strong track record in delivering on sales targets.

Industry Experience Required:

  • Competent to sell SME general insurance.
  • CII FIT Qualification or willingness to undertake this study upon role success.
  • Relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
  • Clear understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics.
  • Experience of e-trading platforms; Acturis would be advantageous but not required.
  • Strong track record in delivering on sales targets.
