About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage and support young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age.
  • Maintain a safe and homely environment, promoting the well-being and independence of the young people.
  • Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Provide support and guidance to young people, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
Requirements
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People is desirable.
  • Experience in a residential children's home environment is desirable.
  • Experience from within the health & social care sector is desirable.
  • Full Driving Licence is essential, as you may be required to transport the children from time to time.
