Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Ideal for All. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with their daily living needs, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support with domestic duties, including meal preparation, laundry, and household chores
  • Encourage and support the individual to participate in social activities, such as shopping, walking, and accessing community resources
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to the individual
  • Assist with paperwork and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs
  • Knowledge of personal care and domestic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle

Working Hours: Up to 14 hours per week, split between two workers. Ideally, 3 morning visits of 2 hours per week, with the rest of the hours used flexibly for afternoon social/community activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications in care and support
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and anxiety
  • Ability to respond to and manage anxiety in a supportive and non-judgmental manner
  • Knowledge of outdoor activities and ability to encourage and support the individual to participate
