Job Purpose
The Regional Operations Coordinator will be tasked with providing support to any facility within a designated area and must be adaptable regarding travel.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Regional Operations Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Regional Manager and the management teams of various facilities to ensure that action plans are executed promptly, improvements are implemented, and quality standards are elevated.

The main objective of the Regional Operations Coordinator is to assist their region in achieving a "minimum" satisfactory outcome in all facilities, advocating for quality across their area.

Additionally, the Regional Operations Coordinator will work in tandem with the Regional Manager and facility management teams to ensure financial targets are met.

This role is hands-on, requiring practical support to facilities as needed.

In instances where a facility lacks a Manager due to vacancy, leave, or illness, the Regional Operations Coordinator will be expected to step in and provide support.

They will also assist new Managers and those facing operational challenges.
In the absence of a Regional Manager, the Coordinator will be expected to act in their stead.



Key Responsibilities:
To assist in the execution of the Service Improvement Plan.

They will hold significant responsibilities for delivering components of the Service Improvement Plan as agreed with their supervisor.

Support the implementation and ongoing management of new systems, including electronic medication administration records (EMAR) and digital care planning.

Lead, direct, supervise, and support staff operating within the region.

Manage the region efficiently and effectively within the available resources.

Assist in recruitment efforts within a service in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Provide induction training and supervision to staff as necessary.

Encourage effective communication within a service; championing key initiatives, including daily stand-ups and resident engagement.

Support the region and staff with any human resources issues and performance management, ensuring probationary periods are handled appropriately and managing informal and formal disciplinary matters.

Ensure that the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical, and material needs of residents are recognized, assessed, and addressed whenever possible.

This will involve conducting regular planned reviews, assessments, and formulating care plans for all service users in collaboration with other professionals.

Involve residents in decision-making regarding activities, lifestyle, and matters affecting their home environment.

Assist with maintenance issues related to the building and equipment.

Support the implementation of operational systems that comply with Health and Safety regulations, including risk assessments and safety records.

Ensure that mandatory training requirements are fulfilled within the region and maintain accurate, up-to-date training records for all staff.
