Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate logistics strategies for the installation of Offshore Wind Farms, collaborating with a team of specialists in Foundation, Cable, Wind Turbine, and Floating Wind Turbine Installation.
  • Enhance safety and quality standards for Marine Operations at RWE.
  • Establish criteria for vessel specifications and RWE's operational standards for offshore activities.
  • Provide expertise in Offshore Development and Construction, focusing on conventional and floating wind, covering various vessel types including CTVs, SOVs, supply vessels, heavy-lift vessels, jack-ups, cable laying, scour protection vessels, and anchor handling tugs.
  • Assist in procurement by drafting and reviewing Scope of Works, evaluating tenders, and engaging in negotiations.
  • Conduct vessel on-hire assessments.
  • Analyze port configurations and load-out plans.
  • Review risk assessments, method statements, and operational guidelines.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including scheduling, engineering, certification, marine coordination, HSSE, authorities, vessel suppliers, and marine warranty surveyors.
  • Perform technical and commercial evaluations of various installation techniques.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possess a relevant marine background, ideally as a Master Mariner.
  • Demonstrate extensive operational experience in diverse vessel operations, including DP, Heavy Lifting, and Jacking operations.
  • Have experience in developing and maintaining Safety Management Systems.
  • Bring at least five years of experience in marine project management.
  • Exhibit strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Be a proactive collaborator, self-motivated, and highly driven.
  • Show flexibility in work approach and readiness to travel frequently across Europe, the US, and APAC.
  • Be capable of working offshore and at heights.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Exhibit structured thinking and the ability to develop methods and procedures.
