Parkside Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Graduate Site Operative. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in facilities management and contribute to a thriving educational community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, painting, and decorating, to ensure the school's facilities are well-maintained.
  • Assist with porterage duties, including moving equipment and supplies, and help manage site security procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections, including fire drills and legionella flushing, to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Gain experience overseeing suppliers and contractors during on-site work, developing strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in setting up for school events, with flexibility to work later shifts when required.
  • Contribute to maintaining outdoor areas, including litter picking, leaf-blowing, and gritting during winter months.
  • Serve as the primary minibus driver when needed.
Requirements
  • Recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in facilities management or a related field.
  • Basic DIY skills or a willingness to learn, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting tasks and interacting with staff.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A clean UK driver's license is required, or a commitment to obtaining one.
