Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Assist and manage the commercial team to ensure effective working and communication.
- Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts, including tendering, reviews, negotiations, and contract management.
- Workforce Oversight: Assist with workforce oversight, subcontractor deployment, and timekeeping.
- Payment Processing: Meet with subcontractors throughout the works, approving stage payments, and ensuring accurate take-offs and measurements.
- Change Order Evaluation: Evaluate and process change orders.
- Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports and forecasts to provide the construction manager and directors with up-to-date financial information.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all cost-related documents, contracts, invoices, payments, and correspondence.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the wider team.
- Business Development: Support and seek best values in other areas of the business, advising and assisting where needed.
Requirements:
- Education: HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related subject.
- Experience: Experience in the infrastructure, utilities, or civil engineering sectors is a must.
- Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, friendly, sociable, and driven.
- Skills: Full driving license, commercially aware, attention to detail, and organization and time management skills.
