About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at McLaren Group. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering key infrastructure and facility changes and upgrades in support of our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with stakeholders to determine project briefs and develop suitable outline designs with cost estimates for high-level approval.
  • Produce drawings and scopes of work, and develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate with industry professionals, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success and compliance with CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, make adjustments as necessary, and communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage project risks and identify opportunities for improvement, and provide technical support to project team members.
  • Ensure quality control and quality assurance for all project deliverables, and lead design project meetings and facilitate communication among team members.
Requirements
  • HNC/HND in building services or similar construction or engineering field.
  • Extensive experience in construction project management, with a background in Building Services engineering preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar in the design and production of CAD drawings, and knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • MS Office suite knowledge essential, and experience in managing multiple small works and Capital Projects.
  • Ability to produce, read, and interpret building plans & schematics, and knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
  • Experience in managing and supervising construction teams, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
