Associate Director (Civil Engineering - Infrastructure)

Salary: up to £68,000 plus flexible benefits

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to lead a vibrant team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Engineer with the ability to grow the infrastructure design capabilities from the busy Bristol office. The successful candidate will oversee significant projects from conceptual planning through to completion.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  1. Have a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering and be Chartered (MICE)
  2. Strong business development capability
  3. First-class highway design and specification, detailed drainage and attenuation design, chairing client and consultation project meetings and reporting skills
  4. Experience of working across a broad range of clients, local authorities and private land developers
  5. Ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers
  6. Substantial experience in consultation, negotiations and meetings with third-party authorities

As an Associate Civil Engineer, you will:

  1. Make a major contribution to the business plan
  2. Undertake business development to enhance and grow the team
  3. Mentor and guide junior members of the team
  4. Oversee significant projects
  5. Manage client needs
  6. Check work of others
