Position: DBS-Cleared Chefs and Cooks for Educational Settings
Hourly Compensation: Ranges from £16 to £20 per hour based on the specific role
Locations: Various sites across Stafford, Stoke on Trent, Telford, Shrewsbury, and Market Drayton
Employment Type: Opportunities available for both full-time and part-time roles.

As the new academic term approaches, we are actively seeking multiple Enhanced DBS Chefs and Cooks to join our teams in Schools, Academies, and Nurseries.

Your responsibilities will include providing support during periods of absence, whether short-term or long-term, and assisting with the growing demand for culinary services. The ideal candidate will focus on preparing fresh, nutritious meals while adhering to dietary guidelines. Most shifts will occur Monday through Friday, with a minimum duration of 6 hours, starting between 6 and 8 AM and concluding around 2 or 3 PM.

Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with team members to ensure daily tasks are completed
* Manage incoming deliveries
* Potential for overseeing food orders as a head chef or chef manager
* Assist in food preparation and maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, including dishwashing
* Comply with all health and safety regulations
* Prepare nutritious meals according to specified requirements
* Maintain a clean-as-you-go policy
* Possible involvement in food service and till operations

Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in a culinary role
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but training available)
* Level 2 Health and Safety Certificate (preferred but training available)
* Passion for culinary arts
* Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle may be required for certain locations
* An up-to-date Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, ideally registered on the new update service (facilities available for obtaining one at a cost).

Working Hours:
You will have the opportunity to select your working schedule each week. Most of our educational environments offer shifts from Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 6 hours. Shifts can start as early as 6 or 7 AM and finish around 2 or 3 PM. If you are available to work weekends and possess an adult DBS, additional hours in care homes may be offered.
