About the Role

We are seeking a talented Scientific Computing Graduate to join our team at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the advancement of scientific research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-performance computing solutions to support scientific research
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to design and implement data management systems
  • Work on software engineering projects to develop new tools and applications
  • Contribute to the development of computational models and simulations
Requirements
  • Achieved or be on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study
  • Experience of Linux system management, clouds, PC/server hardware, or networking
  • Programming experience in languages such as Java, JavaScript, C, C++, or Python
  • Experience of software engineering methodologies
