Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our team at Hays Business Support. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from our warehouse to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the shipping process, including preparing and processing shipping documents, labels, and manifests.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve any shipping-related issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of shipping activities, including tracking and tracing shipments.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory levels.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a shipping or logistics role.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of shipping software and systems, such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
