Senior Childcare Lawyer Role

Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector is seeking a highly skilled Senior Childcare Lawyer to join their team in Luton, Bedfordshire. As a Senior Childcare Lawyer, you will provide expert advice and representation to the Council in all areas of childcare law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive professional legal advice to Children's Services
  • Manage a portfolio of cases, including s31 Care Proceedings, Emergency Protection Orders, and PLO proceedings
  • Undertake advocacy in Luton and negotiate with clients and other professionals to secure agreed objectives
  • Provide support and guidance to the wider team and help them develop their skills

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, barrister, or FCILEx with 6 years+ PQE
  • Previous advocacy experience and exceptional relationship building, networking, and influencing skills
  • Experience of managing and mentoring team members
