Data Administrator

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is seeking a skilled Database Admin / Data Analyst to support a 10-month project with potential for extension. The role will involve working on-site initially, with the possibility of remote work and occasional office visits in Tweedbank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a data repository to support the project team's needs.
- Design and implement data structures to facilitate data import, separation, and comparison from partner organisations.
- Produce reports on financial liability, variance, member and contract statistics, and data validation outcomes.
- Assess the limitations and risks associated with the current data repository and recommend alternative solutions.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to define data requirements and specifications.
- Engage with the project team, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Expertise in Access DB and SQL.
- Experience in data modelling, reporting, analysis, presentation, and visualisation.
- Ability to design and build dashboards using tools like Excel and enterprise BI solutions.
- Experience working on large projects and leading data initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support the transition to Apex Oracle.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a data analyst.
