Job Title: Database Admin / Data Analyst

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is seeking a skilled Database Admin / Data Analyst to support a 10-month project with potential for extension. The role will involve working on-site initially, with the possibility of remote work and occasional office visits in Tweedbank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a data repository to support the project team's needs.
  • Design and implement data queries and screens to facilitate data interrogation and viewing.
  • Provide Excel outputs for sharing with NHS partner organisations.
  • Extend the data structure to support import, separation, and comparison of data from partner organisations.
  • Create reports on financial liability, variance, member and contract statistics, and data validation outcomes.
  • Advise on limitations and risks associated with the project data repository and manage the transition to an alternative data tool if necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Business Analyst on data requirements and specifications.
  • Engage positively and professionally with the project team, internal and external subject matter experts, and stakeholder groups.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Access DB and experience in database management using SQL.
  • Strong data modelling, reporting, analysis, presentation, and visualisation skills.
  • Ability to apply a range of tools and techniques to collate and analyse data.
  • Experience in conceiving, designing, and building dashboards using Excel and enterprise BI solutions.
  • Proven experience working on large projects and leading data initiatives.
  • Ability to support the transition to Apex Oracle after Excel.
  • Data analysis qualification and at least 5 years of experience as a data analyst.
