Job Overview

City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a dedicated Clerical Assistant to join our team within the Children, Education and Justice Services sector.

Position Summary:

This is a fixed-term role that offers a salary of £23,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time and sessional work). The position requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, spanning 40 weeks in a sessional format (Monday to Friday).

This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults, in accordance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The selected candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Additionally, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be necessary for candidates who have spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years.
