Functional Skills Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to join our team at HMYOI Werrington. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our learners, helping them to develop essential skills and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our learners, focusing on literacy, numeracy, language, and personal development.
- Curriculum Development and Review: Collaborate with colleagues to review and improve curriculum content, ensuring it remains relevant and effective in meeting the needs of our learners.
- Learner Engagement and Progression: Foster a supportive learning environment, motivating learners to engage actively and progress towards qualifications and employment.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary administrative duties, including registers, enrolment forms, ILPs, reviews, and Awarding Body documentation, as required by external and internal regulations.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with colleagues to support learners' progression, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and resources to achieve their goals.
- Security and Reporting: Adhere to all security and reporting requirements as directed by HMYOI Werrington, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Learner Progression and Review: Regularly review learners' progress, ensuring that our training continues to meet their identified needs and goals.
