Functional Skills Educator

At PeoplePlus HMYOI Werrington, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to our learners, aged 15-17 years.
Key Responsibilities:- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our learners, focusing on literacy, numeracy, language, and personal development.
- Feedback and Improvement: Actively gather feedback from learners and other sources, and use this information to refine and improve our curriculum content.
- Learner Engagement: Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that motivates individuals and groups to maintain their interest and progress.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including registers, enrolment forms, ILPs, reviews, and Awarding Body documentation, as required by external and internal regulations.
- Learner Progression: Collaborate with colleagues to support learners' progression towards qualifications and employment.
- Security and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all security and reporting requirements as directed by HMYOI Werrington.
- Learner Progress Review: Regularly review learners' progress to ensure that our training continues to meet their identified needs.
