Our client is a well-established chemical manufacturing company based in the UK.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Engineering Apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our chemical plant.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To understand and comply with our Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and arrangements.
  2. To inspect and use plant equipment, machinery and personal protective equipment correctly, and report any defects to line management.
  3. To carry out risk assessments and ensure adequate control measures are in place to prevent accidents.
  4. To ensure all employees receive adequate training and instruction appropriate to their work.
  5. To monitor the workplace for compliance with our Health, Safety and Environment programme and report findings to the appropriate Manager.

Requirements

  1. Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  2. Proven experience in Maintenance/Reliability and Projects within Chemical/Petrochemical environment.
  3. Wide knowledge of engineering practice and chemical plant maintenance.
  4. Management of multi-disciplined departments in maintenance and project activities.
  5. Contractual administration and financial/budgetary control and management.

What's on Offer

A competitive salary of £65,000 to £75,000 plus bonus and benefits.
