Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, with occasional late shifts every 4-5 weeks (11 AM - 9 PM)

Overview:
Stafflex Industrial Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team at an educational facility. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in youth support who are looking to establish a long-term career in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with young individuals from diverse backgrounds, understanding their behaviors and needs.
- Operate CCTV systems and maintain awareness of health and safety protocols.
- Manage conflict situations effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques.
- Monitor the control room and ensure adherence to safeguarding processes.
- Assist with various security-related tasks, including building evacuations and guiding individuals to appropriate areas.

- Strong initiative and innovative problem-solving abilities.
- High emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with teenagers.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills and commitment to improving operational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security or youth engagement roles is essential.
- A valid UK Driving Licence.
- Experience in customer service or care sectors.
- Familiarity with educational settings and monitoring CCTV systems.
- An up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate is required for this position.

Additional Information:
Candidates should possess relevant training or experience in youth or vulnerable adult support, ideally within an educational context. A willingness to obtain an enhanced child and adult DBS is necessary, as the role involves addressing the diverse needs and behaviors of various age groups. This position demands a hands-on approach, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and a strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
