As a key member of the Advisory Services Team at SGS, a successful individual will be responsible for:
- Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and check pack copy in accordance with client requirements, taking information from supplier specifications. Ensure that pack copy adheres to all current and pending EU and UK legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidelines.
- Product Artwork Review: Prepare and check final product artwork in accordance with client requirements, taking information from supplier specifications. Ensure that pack copy adheres to all current and pending EU and UK legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidelines.
- Specification Review and Approval: Check, question, and approve product specifications in accordance with client requirements, taking information from supplier specifications. Ensure that pack copy adheres to all current and pending EU and UK legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidelines.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with clients, suppliers, design agencies, print houses, and other internal or external parties to achieve the above.
- Meeting and Event Attendance: Attend internal and external meetings with clients, suppliers, enforcement agencies, or other bodies as required.
- Regulatory Guidance: Give advice relating to legislation, codes of practice, and guidelines.
- Industry Knowledge and Awareness: Keep well-informed and up-to-date on all relevant legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines, news, and events within the food and consumer products industry.
- Education and Experience: Qualified to degree level or have extensive experience working in a Regulatory affairs or product quality role for Softlines.
- Legislative Knowledge: Conversant with UK and EU consumer protection legislation.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret and apply retailer corporate policy and UK/EU legislation.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally.
