Weightmans' Regulatory Team is seeking a solicitor to enhance its Birmingham offering in health & safety, motor crime and inquests work. The Birmingham team was recently ranked as Tier 1 for Health and Safety work and was described as 'a firm that is moving into the position of a dynamic market leader' by the Legal 500.

The National Regulatory Team is one of the largest in the country and is recognised by clients and other lawyers as being one of the best. The ideal candidate should have a passion for regulatory work (both advisory and after the event), and experience in some or all of: Health & Safety, Inquests and Motor Crime.

  • To undertake work in Health & Safety, Inquests and Motor Crime, both in Birmingham and nationally.
  • To support specialist lawyers practicing in environmental law, transport regulation and public inquiries as and when needed.
  • To ensure you maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of regulatory law, updates, legislation, case reports etc.
  • To assist with business development initiatives including delivering training, networking and preparation of articles.
  • An opportunity to develop advocacy skills.

A passion for regulatory law is essential. Experience in some or all of: Health & Safety, Inquests and Motor Crime is also required.
