The Role

As an Assistant Cook in one of our schools, you'll be responsible for preparing and delivering healthy, nutritious, and fun menus for students and staff. You'll focus on delivering high-quality food and service, with flair and originality. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing menus using provided recipes
  • Ensuring food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety compliance
  • Producing hospitality as per client requests
  • Supervising the team
  • Building relationships with clients and customers
  • Providing a friendly and polite customer service experience
About You

We're looking for someone with a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. You'll need:

  • Knowledge of education catering and fresh ingredients
  • Food Hygiene level 2 & 3 (further training available)
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Computer literacy and experience with different systems
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and a desire to learn and achieve

  • 30 hours per week, with no late nights
  • Working 39 weeks per year, based around term time
