Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at Dish Hospitality UK Limited. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the culinary operations of our modern gastro pub.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced, fresh food led kitchen environment, with experience in heading up a kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, while also contributing to the development of new menu ideas and concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts, in collaboration with the Head Chef and other members of the culinary team.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of kitchen policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and supplies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality ingredients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a fresh food led kitchen environment, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a proven track record of maintaining high standards in these areas.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
