Job Title: Supporting Education Professional
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Supporting Education Professional to join our team at Telford & Wrekin Council. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in the teaching and learning of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a supportive relationship with children and carry out duties within the remit of the post.
- Provide one-to-one support to children as required.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the class teacher in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in an educational setting.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with children and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours:
5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, between 8:45am and 3:15pm, with some flexibility as required.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, as well as other pre-appointment checks outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education.
