About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Horizon Care & Education. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and care leavers to live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and emotional support to young people to help them develop the skills and confidence they need to live independently.
  • Work closely with young people to identify their goals and aspirations and develop a personalized support plan to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Assist young people with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing finances.
  • Support young people to access education, training, and employment opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers and healthcare professionals, to ensure young people receive comprehensive support.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a compassionate and empathetic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be flexible and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
