Thorn Baker Construction is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a specialist in refurbishment contracts, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and optimal cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, price, and evaluate tenders for construction projects
- Take ownership of projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures
- Manage and administer sub-contractor accounts, ensuring timely payment and compliance with contractual obligations
- Produce and submit applications for payment, maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements:
- Professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent
- Previous experience in commercial management, procurement, and construction/retrofit projects
- Excellent team player with strong communication and time management skills
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
