Exciting Opportunity for Graduate Teaching Assistants

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to join our team at a secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and teaching staff across a range of subjects, helping students achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Work closely with students who need additional support, either one-on-one or in small groups, to help them overcome barriers to learning
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those requiring extra academic guidance
  • Help to manage classroom behaviour and contribute to a positive and productive learning environment
  • Assist with marking and providing feedback to students under the supervision of teaching staff
  • Support extra-curricular activities, including after-school clubs, homework sessions, or school trips
  • Encourage students' engagement with their studies and act as a role model within the school
Requirements:
  • A recent graduate with a degree in any subject
  • A passion for education and supporting young people in their learning
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate secondary school students
  • A proactive, positive, and patient approach to helping students of varying abilities
  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting, is desirable but not essential
