Quality Assurance Engineer

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Cheswick, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance data packages for customer review and approval.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on their qualifications and performance.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, surveillances, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Translate customer, regulatory, and code requirements into manufacturing instructions and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to inspectors and operators as needed to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Review and approve drawings, routings, specifications, procedures, supplier certifications, and similar documents related to assigned projects.
  • Analyze reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures.
  • Review and evaluate in-process rejections, approve disposition, evaluate root cause, and implement corrective action when needed.
  • Identify potential project or supplier quality issues and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Review, evaluate, and respond to customer and/or supplier correspondence.
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of quality program manuals and related department and divisional procedures.
  • Develop and implement improvement programs to design and re-engineer quality techniques and processes that impact cost, time, and quality objectives.

Requirements:

  • Must be a sole US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
  • BS Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Experience in relevant field, preferably in the Nuclear Power Industry or Nuclear Navy.
  • Lead Auditor certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience in Regulated Industries (e.g., food, aerospace, transportation, biotech).
  • ASQ Certifications.
