Position Overview

Gleeson Recruitment Group is excited to present a unique opportunity for a skilled Strategic Finance Advisor to join a prominent organization. In this pivotal role within our finance department, you will be instrumental in enhancing financial outcomes, aiding in strategic planning, and promoting organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

The Strategic Finance Advisor will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborative Financial Support: Work closely with operational teams to deliver financial insights, thorough analyses, and support for critical business choices.
  • Efficiency Enhancement: Recognize and execute improvements in processes to boost efficiency, precision, and effectiveness within the finance department and throughout the organization.
  • Performance Evaluation: Perform comprehensive evaluations of financial and operational performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas needing enhancement.
  • P&L Oversight: Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, offering analysis, insights, and recommendations to enhance profitability and cost management.
  • Executive Reporting: Develop detailed board presentations that include financial reports, analyses, and insights to facilitate high-level decision-making.
  • Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Strategic Finance Advisor position will possess:
    • A professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
    • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience in a comparable commercial finance position, ideally within a small to medium-sized enterprise.
    • Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to interpret complex financial information and convey findings to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Proven experience in financial collaboration and establishing effective relationships with operational teams.
    • A solid understanding of financial processes, including month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • The ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to influence decision-making across all organizational levels.
