About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and preparing correspondence.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including data entry and reporting.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care and experience.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Requirements
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C or equivalent.
- NVQ level II in business administration/customer care or equivalent experience.
- Experience of using full range of IT and patient data systems.
- Experience of scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
