Financial Crime Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Officer to join our specialist financial crime advisory team. As a Financial Crime Officer, you will play a critical role in advising the business on complex client cases across all financial crime disciplines and jurisdictions.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a corporate bank that specializes in clients that require expert guidance on financial crime matters. You will work with talented financial crime managers who will guide you on your way, but you will be given the autonomy to think critically and make risk-based decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on financial crime matters to clients and stakeholders
  • Conduct thorough analysis and risk assessments on client cases
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the bank's financial crime risk appetite
  • Write detailed reports and present findings to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Good academics or proven professional experience in financial crime
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime regulations, including AML, Sanctions, AB&C, and Fraud
  • Understanding of startup/SME corporate clients and their financial crime risks
  • Ability to work in a risk-based approach and think critically
  • Excellent written communication skills and experience creating financial crime reports
